Depends on the lazy factor. Lot of people would rather go to a drive through and get some dollar cheeseburgers, or feast on mac n' cheese, simply because it's easier than a simple stew or casserole. I can make a mean stroganoff for about 5 bucks, with enough to feed company.

LOL- I remember when I tried to make stroganoff for the first time, put too much brandy to the point where the dog wouldn't even touch it. lol
