I really liked that feature on PCF. Is there any way to do it here?

I don't see it in the User Control Panel options. However, people can just stop being jerks and delete half the damn posts they are not even replying too in the big quote blob.

I looked around briefly last night and didn't see anything off hand that was current and would work with the board. In fact the only one I found was one that was written for phpbb2 (which is what PCF ran on) many years ago. I'll try looking a bit longer if I get time this week/weekend and see if there isn't something more current out there.

Can I become an admin with the strict duty of just deleting people's long ass quotes?

How are we going to properly score the slap-fight victor?

Or, couldn't you just write a workflow that would do it automatically when you post?

btw I've been looking here and there on random sites and phpbb forums and I'm just not finding anything. So it would be completely custom code to do, which is probably not an option right now. Up to Q in the end, however I know he wants to keep custom code out of the forums as much as possible unless its something really needed. Probably something to re-visit when/if we move to the new host and have things optimized a bit better.
